Broccoli pesto
Ingredients
1 broccoli
1 carrot
Some cashew nuts
Parmesan cheese
Basil leaves
Method
Boil the carrot and the broccoli florets, leave it to cool. Blend some basil leaves, cashew nuts, parmesan cheese and olive oil. Add the broccoli florets and the carrot. Blend them all together. This is perfect for pasta! Soooo tasty!! Your little one will love it!!
🚨 Ensure that the cashews are blended all the way through as they can be choking hazards.
Tips
You can also use it as a spread on a sandwich or pita bread.
As dip for your kid's snack.
This is a perfect balanced meal.
A great way to introduce nuts and seeds to your little one as these are blended. However they are potential allergens so need caution.
Fusilli are perfect when your baby starts blw as they can be held with the palm of their hand!
Try to offer it with some tender broccoli on the side so they get used to the vegetable too. Make sure the broccoli florets are tender enough and it can be easily squished between your thumb and index finger.
